CommercialWare and Mercent integrate e-commerce platforms

CommercialWare, a provider of technology that lets retailers manage orders and fulfillment across offline and online channels, will integrate its platform with Mercent Corp.’s Mercent Retail, which is designed to connect online merchants to some 150 million consumers reached by multiple e-marketplaces, the two companies said today.

The deal makes it easier for Mercent’s online retailer clients to integrate with a CommercialWare selling platform for stores and catalogs, while opening up CommercialWare’s clients to Mercent’s multiple online marketplace connections, says Eric Best, CEO of Mercent.

Mercent also integrates with e-commerce platforms from OrderMotion, NetSuite and Venda, and it expects to announce in coming months partnerships with additional vendors, Best says.

Mercent works with retailers including SmartBargains.com, Cutter & Buck, Altrec.com and Guess, connecting them with e-marketplaces including Amazon.com, Shop.com and Shopzilla.com. CommercialWare’s clients include Ritz Camera, Jos. A. Bank and Patagonia.
